Why Hearing Fails With Age
Hearing changes are a natural part of aging. Over time, the delicate hair cells in the inner ear can become damaged, often from years of noise exposure or simply from the aging process itself. Many people notice difficulty following conversations in noisy environments or find themselves turning up the television. While age-related hearing loss is common, it doesn’t mean you have to miss out on important moments. With modern audiology care and advanced hearing aids, it’s possible to stay connected and continue enjoying the sounds that bring meaning to your life.

History of Outer Banks Kill Devil Hills
Before European explorers like Giovanni da Verrazzano and Sir Walter Raleigh arrived and established the Lost Colony of Roanoke, the Outer Banks of North Carolina were inhabited by Native Americans. Due to the countless shipwrecks, the islands later became known as the “Graveyard of the Atlantic” and a notorious pirate hideout under Blackbeard. The area played a key role in the Wright Brothers’ 1903 first flight at Kill Devil Hills, and the Outer Banks became the popular tourist destination it is today after World War II, thanks to substantial infrastructure development.
